In Slatefire, I wanted to capture the feeling of calmness interrupted by bursts of energy. The cool blues and grays create a sense of stillness, while the touches of gold and brighter colors bring moments of life and movement into the scene. It’s about how sometimes, even in the quietest moments, something powerful can suddenly emerge. Through this painting, I hope to show the balance between peace and the unexpected sparks that can bring things to life.
