In Granular Oblongata, I sought to capture the essence of texture and the tactile nature of our world. The small, pebble-like forms represent the countless fragments that make up the larger picture of existence—each one seemingly insignificant, yet vital to the whole. The textured surface invites the viewer to engage not only visually, but physically, offering a sensory experience that mirrors the complexities of life. The title reflects the delicate balance between the granular, the microscopic, and the larger, structured world we navigate. Through this piece, I aim to evoke a sense of grounding and connection to the earth beneath us, reminding us that even the smallest elements can hold profound meaning.
